Southwestern Style Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Southwestern Style Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Southwestern Style Slow Cooker Baked Beans

This recipe is the simplest side dish you’ll ever make! And quite possibly one of the most flavorful. These rich, zesty slow cooked beans are an excellent side to serve with pulled pork barbecue and soft gluten-free naan bread, oven BBQ chicken or even on their own with a piping hot wedge of my gluten-free cornbread!

Angie, This looks to be a great recipe and that it’s cooked in the crockpot makes it even better. I have to take fiber twice every day and this makes it even sweeter. I love beans and eat them several times every week. I love your daily letters and look forward to them. You’d been a Godsend to my struggle with this disease.

Yes, simple recipe that has big flavor!

This will indeed go a long way toward your fiber dose each day.

So happy to hear you love the eLetters and that I’ve been some help to you. I hope to continue to be a useful resource on which you can rely.

      Thank you for your support!!

    Hey Gigi,
I’ve been cooking crock pot meals every weekend for a while now and needed a new recipe. You always seem to be right on time for me. And your suggestion for corn bread is a GREAT idea. I made your recipe for my sister’s family and they all loved it. Not a one of them gluten free or dairy free for that matter. Looking forward to my next newsletter.

      Hi, Barb.

Thanks so much for this note!

I’m happy you’re using the slow cooker…me, too!! It helps so much with getting healthy gluten free meals on the table with a hectic schedule.
I feel like I’m not even cooking most of the time when I slow cook. :)

The corn bread is by far our most popular recipe here, isn’t it?? I love it, too and add all sorts of goodies to it to change it up.

March “Food Solutions” is going to be stellar!!!
