This Plant-Based Alternative to Milk has a Sunny Outlook!

We all enjoy finding new products to add to our  gluten free, allergen-free lineup.

Although dairy-based milks are fine to consume on a gluten free diet (they are, by nature, gluten free if no gluten-containing ingredients or flavorings are added), I know so many of you are dairy-free (like me), which is why I was eager to try and share information about sunflower seed kernel “milk” with you.

Whether it’s because of:

  • Lactose intolerance
  • Casein allergy
  • A gluten free dairy free diet for autism spectrum disorder
  • You’re aware of the severe inflammatory affects of dairy on the human body

…if you’re dairy-free, I think you’re going to love this product!

Produced by Sunrich Naturals, SōL Sunflower Beverage  is made from sunflower seeds, a known super food that contains antioxidants and plant chemicals that prevent free radical damage to our cells. This is great news in terms of reducing the risk of certain cancers and slowing down the aging process!

A single serving of SōL Sunflower Beverage provides us with half the Daily Recommended Allowance (RDA) of the powerful antioxidant vitamin, vitamin E, which is so important for a strong heart, healthy brain and beautiful skin.

SōL also contains a wide array of vitamins, minerals and Omega-3 fatty acids that help boost immunity and strengthen our bones and teeth.

That’s right! Bones and teeth… we can even get ample amounts of calcium and vitamin D from sunflower milk. In fact, in a mere 8-ounce glass of SōL we get 30% of our RDA for Calcium and 25% for Vitamin D.

Now, it’s time to start enjoying this delish product in a variety of ways:

  • Add it to your favorite recipes for baked goods
  • Use it in place of regular milk in blended beverages like smoothies and protein shakes
  • Pour it over your favorite gluten free cereal
  • Sip it straight from the glass (and maybe even dunk your favorite gluten free cookie in it!)

The overall flavor profile of SōL Sunflower Beverage is slightly sweet with nutty undertones and a texture similar to regular whole milk.

So far, I’ve had terrific results substituting SōL in many of my gluten free dairy free recipes.
