Everybody loves it and most people who have to go gluten-free for health reasons miss it more than any other foods listed. That’s right… PIZZA!
I love making homemade pizza with my Quick & Simple Gluten-Free Pizza Dough recipe, but not everyone can have yeast, and quite frankly, not everyone wants to roll out a crust. If that’s you, no problem!
Now, making pizza at home is as easy as pouring the crust. That’s right, a gluten-free, yeast-free crust that you pour right on top of your toppings and sauce.
Know what’s even better than that? You do it all in one skillet and it tastes phenomenal. As in, I’ve made this several times even after recipe testing was complete. Repeat meals in our house are extremely rare. Dreamy often says… If you love something Gigi makes, you’d better enjoy it because you may never have it again!
It’s true, I’m always on the search for new, exciting and creative dishes to make for my family (and for you!) but this one, she’s a keeper.
I’m super happy to share it over at I’m Free, so jump over there via THIS LINK, grab the recipe and let’s call it PIZZA NIGHT!
PS – here are some extra tips you may find useful when making this dish.
Meat and Meat-Free Options:
I use grass fed beef, but any ground beef, bison or even ground turkey would work here. For a meat-free option, use 4 cups chopped mushrooms and 1 cup diced veggies of your choice (onions, green peppers, zucchini, eggplant, etc.).
Use any jar sauce you like as long as it is free from gluten and any allergens you must avoid. I use my simple, healthy go-to sauce and you can find that recipe in The Gluten Free Solution book.
Do not use a blend that contains added gums (like xanthan or guar, etc.). It is not necessary and might make your end results… gummy. Read more about gums in gluten-free baking here.
I make my own with this recipe, or use an organic certified gluten-free blend.
