There was another recipe here on the site for bite sized corn dogs, which were also baked, but as I do with everything in life, I constantly strive to improve the recipes here on the site for you, making them simpler, slashing the number of ingredients you need, and streamlining the method.
So, sorry if that was your go-to, but this one will easily replace it for the better. The batter is more tender and these you really cannot tell from fried traditional corndogs at all in taste. You do, however, get to skip that grease running down your fingers part, which none of us minds. :)
You’ll also want to use all-natural uncured dogs to keep this a more healthy, clean snack. I like Applegate products when we make these.
You can take the corndogs to next level “cheesy” by adding either real cheese or a dairy-free cheese product of your choice, which we did in the photos here. We used regular shredded cheddar for the dairy eaters and for me, Daiya cheddar shreds.
Either way, ketchup, mustard and a bowl of these and you’re good to go!
